The Contented Cat emerged from years of experience in cat guardianship, illustrating how small changes in their environment can significantly enhance their wellbeing. Central to this journey is a remarkable cat named Eris, my soul cat, who revealed to me the depth of feline behavior and communication when we take the time to truly observe them. The small cat in our logo serves as a quiet tribute to her and a reminder of our mission to help more cats live safe, enriched, and genuinely contented lives.

I’m a feline behaviour specialist and cat groomer with a welfare-first approach to working with cats.

Through years of working closely with cats and their guardians, I’ve seen how often behaviour challenges stem not from “bad behaviour” but from environments that don’t quite meet a cat’s emotional needs.

The Contented Cat was created to help guardians recognise those small signals and create homes where cats feel safe, understood and able to thrive.
